MOVE POLICY:

Move procedures for the Legends of Cornerstone Condominiums

1. All moves must be scheduled and approved.
   • The aim of this policy is to reduce and control damage resulting from moves in the common area, as well as minimize disturbances and interruptions to other residents while elevators and entrances are being used.

2. Scheduling a move.
   • All moves are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis, and will take place between 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm, 7 days a week.
   • Units cannot book multiple time slots without approval from the Board, as the Board must accommodate multiple unit requests.
   • If you need accommodation, please contact the condo management company.

3. Moves are not permitted in the stairwells without Board approval. Should you have an item that will not fit into the elevator, a request to the Board must be made at the time of booking and approval received prior to the scheduled move. If the stairwell is used during a booked move without board approval, the owner will forfeit their full damage deposit. If the stairwell is used for an unscheduled or unapproved move, the move fee will be increased by $100
4. All moves must be requested no less than seven (7) days in advance. Any move requests received with less than 7 days’ notice are subject to approval and, if approved, a $50 fee, plus applicable processing charges, will be applied.
5. The eastern elevators of building 1000 and 2000 will remain locked out for the duration of your scheduled move. The elevator moving pads will be hung prior to your move and should not be removed once your move is complete.
6. The unit owner is responsible for taking pictures of any existing damage prior to beginning the move and then document any damages or concerns at the end of the move and submit it to the Board for review.
7. Use of both elevators for a move is not permitted. Any resident found to be using both elevators during a move will forfeit their damage deposit in its entirety and where the move has not been scheduled or approved, the move fee will be increased by $100.
8. In the case of an elevator being unavailable due to an unscheduled repair or lock out, the Board will permit the residents to use the other elevator. This elevator will not be locked out and cannot be propped open so as to allow other residents to use the elevator.
9. Should any resident who resides on the first floor require use of the elevator during their move, they must request it at the time of booking.
10. Furniture and large household items are NOT allowed to be left in the garbage room or anywhere on the property. Any “dumping” of these items will incur a fine and the unit owner will be charged for any resulting fees
11. NO entry/exit door may be left open while unattended. Any unit found to be in violation will forfeit the full $200 move fee. Staging should be done in the lobby and the entrance/exit doors should be secured when using the elevator.
12. Owners are Responsible for Tenant Moves:
    • If a tenant moves without being scheduled and approved, the move fee of $200 will be charged to the unit owner.
    • The unit owner will be responsible for any damages or bylaw infractions during all moves, whether approved or not.

Move Cost:

There is a $200 move fee for any move at Legends of Cornerstone.

• This fee is waived and instead, a damage deposit will be charged if owners schedule and receive approval for their move.
• For approved moves, the $200 fee (plus a non-refundable processing fee) will be held as a damage deposit and is fully refundable if there is no damage caused by the move. This deposit must be in the form of a credit card payment when booking the move on the condo management company’s resident portal. If no damage occurs, the damage deposit will not be collected.
• Any damages resulting from, or believed to be resulting from, the move may result in a delay and/or reduction of the deposit.
• If damage repair exceeds the security deposit, the Board will pursue additional payment for repair cost.
• Any unapproved moves will be subject to the full $200 non-refundable move fee as well as any costs for damages and additional fees as described above.
